K. Michelle Walker-O'Brien - inMotion Director & Owner

Youth & Teen Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Adult Jazz, Pre Tap/Jazz

 

A Newton native, Michelle spent 13 years in Chicago teaching, performing, and studying many forms of dance. She helped create and choreographed the Evanston Children's Theatre, choreographed The Bogg Children's Theater, choreographed for the Chicago Honey Bears, performed in a "just say no" group called "The Exposonic Rockers," created and choreographed a children-teen dance company called "Legs in Motion." In 1990 she received a BA in Dance from Columbia College of Chicago with an emphasis on performance, choreography, and teaching. Michelle has been dancing since the age of 5. Michelle loves her life with her husband Mike, her daughter Kleo, family and friends. She is looking forward to the 24th year of inMotion Center!

Tiffany Lehrman | Ballet, Pointe, Tap/Jazz,

PreTap/Ballet, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe

For the past 27 years Tiffany has been teaching dance. Tiffany has studied tap, ballet, lyrical, jazz, pointe, and tumbling. Tiffany has kept educated with her dance background by taking classes and attending conventions. Tiffany loves working with kids and enjoys watching them grow and develop in their dance and tumbling technique. When Tiffany is not dancing she works at UL-Newton and enjoys spending time with her husband Andy and son Carter. Tiffany is looking forward to a wonderful year!

Heather Ross | Tumbling, Jazz, Tiny Tot Tumbling,

 

Heather has been involved in dance and tumbling since she was 3. She enjoys taking classes to keep involved in new dance techniques outside of inMotion. She has competed and attended many national competitions along with tumbling clinics. Heather works full time at the Jasper County Treasurers office, and is the head cheerleading coach for NHS. When Heather isn’t working or teaching she loves spending time with her family, friends, her daughters, Aliviah, Addison, Saige and husband, Lance. Heather is looking forward to a great year!

Jasmine Conner | Instructor |

Hip Hop/Street Jazz | Technique|Cheerleading |Dance Company

Jasmine has been dancing for 24 years. She was a competitive dancer/cheerleader for many years growing up, and has attended several conventions/master classes. She studied many years of ballet,  and also studied anatomy in college to better understand how a dancers body works,  and to prevent injuries in the dance space.  She has been a dance instructor for 14 years, and has been a Dance Company coach for the last 10 years. She has produced many award winning pieces in that time. She teaches all styles of dance, competition, and cheerleading. Jasmine is married to her husband Cass, and they have a two wonderful sons. In her free time, Jasmine loves being with her family discovering new activities/places. She also loves crafting, making art,  and creating/rhinestoning costumes.

Macey Caves | inMotion Dance Company | 

Macey Caves danced at inMotion for 16 years. During her time at inMotion, she was a student helper, involved in dance company and took many different genres of dance. After she graduated from Newton High School, she perused her dream to become a nurse at Grand View University with a minor in psychology. While at Grand View, Macey danced competitively on the award winning dance team for 4 years. Macey loves kids and has experience teaching dance camp, choreographing routines and working at a daycare. Along with teaching at inMotion she also works full-time as a RN at Marshalltown Hospital.
